SUNNAHS OF ENTERING AND LEAVING THE TOILET :

SUNNAHS OF ENTERING AND LEAVING THE TOILET :

People use bathroom many times during the day and night. If they observe these sunan for entering and leaving everytime they go, they will fulfill FIVE sunan for entering and leaving. SubhanAllah !

1- Enter with the left foot and leave with the right.

Narrated by Anas bin Malik and collected in Sahih al-Bukhari

2- One should say Bismillaah before entering. Reported from Ali (radyAllaahu anhu) who said: Allaah's Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"The screen that is between the Jinn and the private parts of human beings, when he enters the bathroom area, is that he says: Bismillaah (In the Name of Allaah)."

Reported by At-Tirmidhee and Ibn Maajah and its chain of narration is acceptable (hasan) due to supporting evidences.

3- Reported from Anas (radyAllaahu anhu) that he said: When the Prophet (sallalahu alayhi wa sallam) would enter the bathroom, he would say:

"Allaahumma Innee Audhu bika min-al-khubuthi wal-khabaa'ith.

[O Allaah, verily, I seek refuge in You from the male and female devils]

(Bukhari & Muslim)

4- Narrated Abu Aiyub Al-Ansari (radi allalahu anhu), the Prophet (sallalahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “While defecating, neither face nor turn your back to the Qibla but face either east or west.” Abu Aiyub added. “When we arrived in Sham we came across some lavatories facing the Qibla; therefore we turned ourselves while using them and asked for Allah’s forgiveness.”

(Sahih Bukhari)

5- When one wishes to exit from the bathroom area, he should say what has been authentically reported in the Sunan of Abu Dawood from the hadeeth of Aaishah (radi allahu anha),

when Allaahs Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) exited the bathroom area, he would say: "Ghufraanaka" (I ask for Your Forgiveness).

The reason for this is because since Allaah has relieved him from this harmful thing (excrement), it is the proper place to ask Him to also free him from the harm of sins.

Surely Allaah knows the best

Worship cannot bring a person closer to Allaah and cannot be accepted unless it meets two conditions:

1 – Sincerity towards Allaah alone, i.e., it is done to seek the Countenance of Allaah and the Hereafter, and is not done to show off, to enhance one’s reputation or for worldly gain.

2 – Following the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in word and deed. Following the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) can only be achieving by knowing his Sunnah.

[Bukhari Vol. 8 : No. 26]

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

RasoolAllah (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) kissed Al-Hasan bin Ali [his grandson] while Al-Aqra' bin Habis At-Tamim was sitting beside him.
Al-Aqra said, "I have ten children and I have never kissed anyone of them," RasoolAllah (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) cast a look at him and said, "Whoever is not merciful to others will not be treated mercifully."

‘Aa’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, relates that the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: “Verily the one who recites the Qur’an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have TWICE that reward.”

Hadith - Bukhari 7:494

Hadith - Bukhari 7:494

Narrated Abu 'Amir or Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari that he heard the Prophet saying, "From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks, and the use of musical instruments as lawful. And (from them), there will be some who will stay near the side of a mountain, and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, 'Return to us tomorrow.' Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and Allah will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection."
